Find The Therapist Who Best Suits Your Child’s Needs

Lana Roman, Registered Physiotherapist and Owner

Lana has been a registered physiotherapist in Ontario since 2013. Lana grew up in southern Ontario and earned a tennis scholarship to Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi Texas where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. She then moved to Utah where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy Degree from The University of Utah, home to one of the top physiotherapy schools in the United States.

Lana, along with her husband Oscar, moved to Collingwood in 2013. Together they have a dog, Suma and two children, Olivia and Oscar. When Oscar was only 4 months old, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. It was at that time when Lana learned of the huge void in access to rehabilitation services for children north of Toronto.

Lana’s clinical background includes vestibular therapy, concussion assessment and management as well as orthopedics. Lana has learned a lot about pediatric rehabilitation through her experiences with her son, Oscar. Lana is CME Level 1 certified (Simona DeMarchi).

Vanessa Vega, Registered Physiotherapist

with a special interest in Pelvic Health

Vanessa’s fascination with both body and brain led her to study Biology, with a minor in Psychology, at McMaster University. She went on to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy again at McMaster, graduating in 2011.

She has experience working with clients of all ages as well as a wealth of experience working with pelvic health conditions. She loves helping her clients focus on their goals and creating their plan to reach it with ease.

As a mother of 4 children, she has a lot of experience working with kids and adapting to their ways of learning. This is what she intends to bring into the clinic every day. Her own experience with physiotherapy as a child felt quite dull. She brings joy, fun and excitement to her sessions so children (and their parents) can remain engaged and make progress towards their goals.

When she is not working, Vanessa can be found enjoying time with her 4 young children (and 4 pets) often outside, hiking trails with the family in tow, exercising in her own home gym and in the summertime on the water riding her SUP.
